#5. Poema – Go Away
Are you ready for your catchy song of summer? Cause this very well may be it. Airy, breezy vocals compliment a slow, gentle rhythm. I always associate songs to events or actions, and this one has garden party written all over it.
#4. Of Verona – In The Places Between
I adored Of Verona’s Dark In My Imagination. Now they have released a much darker sounding In The Places Between… which kind of sounds like it’s always building to something that just never happens. And you know what, I love it for just that. It leaves me wanting, but wanting in a good way.
#3. D’Angelo – Left & Right (FloFilz Remix)

If I was blessed enough with a musical touch, this is exactly the sound I would strive to create. Everything from the beat to the vocals is exactly what I love. Touch of soul, touch of hip-hop chilled out goodness. If we were in the 90s right now and someone asked me to define the slang use of the word “cool”, I’d send em this.
#2. Tracy Irve – See You Naked
Another song where the chorus steals the show. It’s almost creepy. Just one of the two songs released by Tracy Irve so far, and their batting at a pretty good clip right now. With this sound, they strike me as a group who’d put on an absolutely killer live show.
#1. RALPH – Trouble
The crutch of enjoying new music and new bands so much is that they often have very little material. I NEED MORE, RALPH. One song just isn’t enough. Especially when it’s this good. I mean, it took me a good 45 minutes to write that little blurb because every time I play this song I start full on grooving… and as we all know it’s very hard to type and groove simultaneously.
