#5. Janice – Don’t Need To
If you grew up in the 90s, you can’t hear the name Janice and not think of the character on Friends. It’s automatic. However in this case, Janice is a lovely Swedish lady who’s offered up this soft pop song as her debut single.
#4. FM-84 – Don’t Want to Change Your Mind
This song is made for a 2016 version of the movie Top Gun. That or 1995 high school prom awkward dance song. Both work.
#3. Toffe – Painting Pictures
Love the hook to chorus of this track. So much jam and so much energy. Really looking forward to more from Toffe after getting a taste with this one.
#2. Gold Dash – Feel It Now

This one came out of nowhere. It didn’t blow me away at first, but like so many others that grace my list of favorites, it eventually turned me into a believer. Vocals are on point, and there’s a cool spacey-vibe going on.
#1. Drake Feat. Popcaan – Controlla

This is slightly different than the album version that I’ve heard, but it’ll do (since I can’t find anything else). Outside of the Hotline Bling (which is in a world of it’s own), Controlla was my favorite cut from Views. It’s everything I’ve come to like about Drake… catchy, danceable and singable. Views didn’t disappoint, which is an achievement in itself considering the standards were set so high that it was almost impossible to reach.
