#5. Mating Ritual – Drunk
Not since Hum Hum have I circled back to see what Mating Ritual has been up to. Welp, good timing as he just released Drunk, which is frankly just plain cool. Part pysch rock, part alt pop… and very enjoyable.

Little bedroom music courtesy of Maths Time Joy and the lovely vocals of Charlz.
#3. Gorillaz Feat. Rag’N’Bone Man, RAY BLK, Zebra Katz – The Apprentice
I think this track could really use a couple more people featured on it. Jokes aside, this was easily my favorite track from the long awaited Gorillaz album just released. Full of swagger and some catchy vocals.
#2. Future Islands – Doves (Vince Clark Remix)

Completely missed this cut of Doves by Vince Clarke (released over two years ago), which just happens to be of my mostest favorite Future Islands track. The Depeche Mode legend keeps the always noticeable vocals from Future Islands intact, and adds some very subtle bump to the killer song.
#1. Dynamique Feat. Damon Trueitt – Love Hatin’

After discovering the captivating Damon Trueitt a couple weeks ago, I promptly went to go find everything I could that he had been a part of. One such track was Love Hatin‘ by Dynamique (which just so happens to be a pretty new release). Love the bluesy grooves that would be equally at home in some posh downtown NYC lounge.
