#5. Thenwhen – Love Me Later
soundcloud.com/thenwhenofficial
This has got some major promise. Love the sound, and for a debut track there’s some good pieces. Excited to see what’s coming up from this new duo.
#4. Gallant – Haha No One Can Hear You!
Feel like it’s been ages since Gallant has graced these pages. It hasn’t been because lack of content – Gallant’s been releasing regularly over the past year or so – just there hasn’t been anything that’s really caught my ear until Haha No One Can Hear You!.
#3. No Rome Feat. The 1975 – Narcissist
Sugar pop. Then again, when The 1975 is featured on a track should we really expect anything else? Love the production and bouncing background vocal sample.
#2. Dom Ford Feat. Lexi Shanley – Whatever I Want
This has been stuck in my head for the past week or two. Lexi Shanley’s vocals are stupid catchy. It’s a pretty gentle track and has that “made for radio” feel.
#1. Jerry Folk – Charlotte
Goddman man. I don’t know what it is about Jerry Folk’s music, but it just hits me. It’s weird, yet catchy. It makes me want to dance, despite not really being “dancy”. That first vocal loop is gorgeous.
