Songs of the Week 290: October 25 – October 31

#5. St. Francis Hotel – You’d Gotta Be Alive

Kinda a weird week this one. Maybe it’s the spooky factor. There isn’t really a standout track, but all are above average quality for a weekly set I’d say. We start off with another track from the lads over at St. Francis Hotel.

#4. Lana Del Rey – Let Me Love You Like A Woman

Another Lana song that has me thinking “boy, this is the most Lana Del Rey track ever”. Signature sound. Signature topic. And if you watch the music video… signature music video.

#3. Washed Out – Too Late

Used to love me some Washed Out way back in the day. Gave his recent release a listen and been digging Too Late… specifically the breakdown into the chorus. Beautiful and oddly haunting. Song kinda gives me creepy chills.

#2. Aiwake Feat. Saen. – Faded Patterns

Aiwake is starting to really develop a sound that I’m totally here for. This really sad, brooding sound that kinda gives off the sense of hopelessness. So sick.

#1. Du0 – It’s Ok

I’m a little late on this one, which came out over a year ago. Better late than never though! Killer chorus.
