#5. Young Franco Feat. Pell & Denzel Curry – Fallin’ Apart
I forever will love whatever Denzel Curry touches after his verse on Glass Animal’s track Tokyo Drifting last year (earlier this year?). He brings the same energy and subtle anger to his verse on this bumpin track from Young Franco. I also have all the time in the world for Pell.
#4. Norman Perry – 2032305
Finally figured out how to get Soundcloud to embed again, and just in time for a smooth Norman Perry track not yet listed on Spotify.
#3. Hard Car Kids – Something Right
I don’t fully know what the Hard Car Kids are all about. All I know is that I think Charlie Burg is involved, and I dig pretty much anything he’s involved in. There are some seriously smooth jazz sounds going on here.
#2. Harrison Cole – Eyelash
I considered pushing this Harrison Cole track to next week’s share because frankly, it’s a #1 track of the week quality song. The chorus is brilliant, with a hook that’ll have you humming it for weeks. Let’s call it a 1A, 1B type week here.
#1. Biig Piig – Feels Right
This one starts a bit slower than the Harrison Cole track but in a similar vein, it has a catchiness to it that’ll stay with you for a long time after. Again, the chorus steals the show. I haven’t really started doing any kind of 2020 wrap up music wise, but both this track and Harrison Cole’s eyelash are definitely in the mix for top 10 tracks of the year.
