Don’t hear many tracks with this kind of new-age-yet-still-retro sound… but I’m here for it.

#4. Bathe – Sundress

Might come to regret slotting this one at #4… as with each listen it grows on me more. BRB going to listen to the rest of Bathe’s discography.

#3. Chiiild – Hold On Till We Get There

Another top track from Chiiild’s recent album drop. IMO not as strong as Eventually, but still nice times nonetheless… especially the chords near the end of the chorus. So catchy.

#2. Blow Feat. Anna Majidson – Shake The Disease

A chill, yet slightly trippy, tune from the boys from France, accompanied by some stellar vocals (frankly Anna’s verse is my favorite).

#1. Gang Of Youths – Unison

UGHHHH. This song is soo soo close to being just one of my favorites ever. The first 2 minutes… and that first verse especially are magical. Not since I first heard The National was I so into the lyrics of a track. Then the strings came and I was in heaven (given me some Elbow vibes). I just am not as enamored with the back half of the track as much as I am the starting half. Nevertheless, it’s a gorgeous track and well worthy of a mention in the top tracks of the year methinks.
