Songs of the Week 357: February 20 – February 26

#5. Tender & Demo Club – I Would Do Bad Things For You

https://soundcloud.com/tenderofficial

Tender have one of those instantly-recognizable voices/sounds. Loving this Demo Club collab.

#4. Spoon – Astral Jacket

https://soundcloud.com/spoontheband

Another quality track from the newest Spoon drop.

#3. Re.decay – Radio

https://soundcloud.com/redecay

The next two tracks are interchangeable IMO. Both bring to the table some solid, refreshingly different sounds to a standard hip hop track.

#2. Jordan Stephens – Can’t Close My Heart

https://soundcloud.com/jordanstephens-music

Those flow of those verses are painfully catchy.

#1. Bugs – In The Middle (Of It)

https://soundcloud.com/bugsbrisbane

This song has grown on my so hard. Brings me back to my high school days, as it has just enough of that sound to it that you could tell me it was from the Jimmy Eat World times and I’d believe you. Low key outside chance at cracking my top 10 tracks of the year list.

Songs of the Week 356: February 13 – February 19

#5. Daniel Di Angelo – Drive You Insane

https://soundcloud.com/danieldiangelo

The last DDA song. Promise.

#4. Spoon – Wild

https://soundcloud.com/spoontheband

<Insert “What Year Is It?!” meme here>. Yea! It’s Spoon. Brings me back to my high school days. Still have the same great sound with their new album.

Neil Frances – Little Heartbeat,

https://soundcloud.com/neil-frances

I’ve loved a lot of collabs that Neil Frances has been involved in. Gotta say tho, their recent album was legit. Quirky electronica.

#2. Ben Macklin Feat. Le Flex – Glow (Keep A Secret)

https://soundcloud.com/benmacklin

No one has a sound quite like Ben Macklin. I really hope he keeps doing his thing for many more years. Almost every track is a gem.

#1. Vance Joy – Don’t Fade

https://soundcloud.com/vancejoy

What a track. Early contender for track of the year, and while I’ve heard Vance Joy in the past… it never really stuck with me. This has me considering revisiting his entire discography. Brilliant songwriting.
