Songs of the Week 376: September 18 – September 24

#5. Sento Feat. Pilar Vega – Child

Catchy vocals and tons of swagger – the two hallmarks of any Kitsune release.

#4. Night Tales – Patient

Another Night Tales banger. Adore the alternate vocals in the chorus – great play off the primary vocals.

#3. Dylan Fraser – It Took A Lot To Get To This

https://soundcloud.com/dylanfraser-music

Starts off kinda folksy (which is def not my thing), but then gets dark and gloomy pretty quick (which totally is my thing).

#2. Chet Faker – It Could Be Nice

https://soundcloud.com/chetfaker

Really loving all the stuff Chet has put out recently. Gives me early Chet Faker vibes.

#1. Satin Jackets Feat. Tailor – Spell

https://soundcloud.com/satinjackets

Love me some Tailor. Also love me some Satin Jackets. Fantastic collab here. The chorus is glorious.

Songs of the Week 368: July 10 – July 16

#5. Just A Leo – Little Rollercoaster

https://soundcloud.com/just-a-leo

One of the catchiest choruses of the year. Fun lil guitar riff too.

#4. Phlake feat. Vera – 2min

https://soundcloud.com/phlakemansion

I’m still convinced Phlake are sneakily one of the best pop RnB bands out there right now. Great vocals, sultry vibes. The more I listen to this track (I listen to them while I do their writeup/image searching), the more I’m thinking it probably should be higher than #4…

#3. Mallrat – To You

https://soundcloud.com/lilmallrat

A good ol’ fashioned bedroom pop track. Another this week with a great chorus.

#2. Jesse Mac Cormack – Stay

https://soundcloud.com/jesse-mac-cormack-official

My Jesse Mac Cormack train continues chugging. I’m obsessed with the dude. Such a range of sounds, all of which feels incredibly unique.

#1. Chet Faker – It’s Not You (Demo Version)

https://soundcloud.com/chetfaker

Chet Faker still stands as one of the best live shows I’ve been too. Haven’t been following him as much during his name change days, but now he’s been popping up on my radar again since going back to the Chet Faker moniker. Loving the demo version of this track. Feels like the Chet of old.
