Songs of the Week 141: November 26 – December 2

jaydot#5. Jaydot Feat. Shalom Dubas – Laces

soundcloud.com/jaydot

Another one of those tracks I’d call “cute”. I’m totally sucked in by the beat.

6lack#4. 6lack – Worst Luck

soundcloud.com/6lack

Been following 6lack for a while, but somehow I completely missed the fact that he released a new album. Mixed feelings on it in general, but there is definitely some good stuff in there – Worst Luck being an example.

Tundran#3. Tundran – Your Name

soundcloud.com/tundran

This feels like it’s straight off of a Phil Collins-led Genesis album in the 1980s.

jordan bratton#2. Jordan Bratton – Pieces

soundcloud.com/jordanbratton

Back to back weeks of Jordan Bratton tracks. Gotta say that I’m into this one just as much as Sunsets from last week.

jimmy smash#1. Jimmy Smash – Macadamian

Enjoying this song more and more with each consecutive listen. Reminds me a lot of One Eskimo.

Songs of the Week 140: November 19 – November 25

command#5. Command – Cowboy Killer

soundcloud.com/commandforce

If you are looking for a new artist with a pretty unique sound, Command may be your thing.  Only two tracks to check out (on Soundcloud anyway), but can’t say I’ve heard anything like it in a while.

brett#4. Brett – California Nights

soundcloud.com/brettdc

Good ol easy-listening pop rock always has a place on my playlist. Been really enjoying all the stuff from Brett after hearing their new release Mustangs EPCalifornia Nights is not from that EP, but instead a EP released last year.

AllanRayman#3. Allan Rayman – Go My Way

soundcloud.com/allanrayman

Allan Rayman comes out in this one sounding like he’s Kurt Cobain singing on Nevermind. Bit o’ grime and a bit o’ country.

jordan bratton2#2. Jordan Bratton – Sunsets

soundcloud.com/jordanbratton

Chorus just slays on this one. Love it so much.

the ramona flowers#1. The Ramona Flowers – Strangers

facebook.com/theramonaflowersmusic/

Been a while since I’ve come across a track that gives me an uncontrollable urge to dance. Enter The Ramona Flowers and Strangers. Honestly that robot voice hook is what has me addicted to this track. I really really wish they’d kept it going throughout instead of just making it a feature in the first two verses. It’s disgustingly catchy.
