Songs of the Week 265: May 3 – May 9

thefatrat#5. TheFatRat – Electrified

It’s been some time since I’ve featured any kind of electro/dubstep/trap style tracks. Digging everything about Electrified. Sounds made for some summer festivals (although I guess we’ll have to wait until 2021 for that…)

kid froopy#4. Kid Froopy – Skeleton Key

Couldn’t tell you a single word said during any of the verses, but it doesn’t even matter. A nice sounding song that’ll stick in your head for days.

yuto#3. Yuto. Feat. Julia Lostrom – Tell Me

I have a thing for songs that strip out sound and go with just vocals, then build the sound back in. Yea it’s specific, and yea it’s done well here.

pangeaux - nightfall#2. Pangeaux & Blake D – Nightfall

The other track from Soul Serum’s album drop featuring heavily one of my new faves, Pangeaux. Blake D’s verse is pretty sick too.

kraz#1. Kraz Feat. Eric Krasno – No Sleep

Those notes during the chorus.. are just SO GOOD. I don’t even care about the rest of the song. I literally just wait for that uplifting 6 notes. Major props to one of my favorite podcasts, 31 Thoughts, who featured the instrumental version of this track as their outro and it got me so hard that I went digging to find out if there was a lyrical version. Very happy that there was…

Songs of the Week 264: April 26 – May 2

jeremy zucker#5. Jeremy Zucker – Not Ur Friend

Jeremy Zucker and lauv should be best friends.

wiz khalifa#4. Wiz Khalifa Feat. Quavo – Out In Space

Another hip hop track that feels a bit different than everything else being made these days. Those outer space vibes in the beat are legit.

buck slenderly#3. Buck Slenderly – Memories

Something sneaky good about Memories.

young & sick - pineapple#2. Young & Sick – Pineapple Hill

I’m always game for some new Young & Sick. Demo Club overall is a really nice listen.

pangeaux - clockwork#1. Pangeaux & E The Profit – Clockwork

The flow on this track is sick. Pangeaux is quickly becoming one of my favorite new hip hop artists.
